It has nearly been 30 years since Street Fighter hit the arcades in Japan and Capcom has announced a new compilation game to celebrate the series’ history. Revealed at the beginning of the top eight for Street Fighter V at Capcom Cup 2017, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection features a hefty amount of Street Fighter titles that originally appeared on arcades (prior to Street Fighter IV). Specifically, it contains the original Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter III and Alpha series....

Capcom is feeling very confident about the Resident Evil 3 Remake hitting its planned release date on April 3. In an interview with Famitsu, producers Peter Fabiano and Masao Kawada said that the game is probably about 90 percent complete at the moment, and there should be no delay of the title’s release. Of course, this is good news for any Resident Evil fan, especially since the Resident Evil 2 remake received countless delays before releasing last year....

Extremely OK Games, the developer behind the 2018 hit indie game Celeste, has finally received their Best Independent Game award from The Game Awards over three years later. This episode came to light after a Call of Duty YouTuber by the handle PrestigeIsKey released a video on his channel explaining how he purchased the award on eBay, thinking that it was a replica for $375. The content creator spoke on how he has been looking for a replica of a TGA award to serve as something in his collection....

For the first time since July 2021, China has re-opened its videogame approval arm. This means that Chinese developers can publish games in the country again. It puts to an end the nine-month freeze on game approval in China, which negatively impacted tech giants such as NetEase Inc and Tencent as well as putting many smaller companies out of business. Thanks to Reuters, we know that 45 games were granted publishing licenses on April 11, bringing the nine-month freeze to an abrupt end....

The cast and crew of Critical Role are showing off the stunning art by fans from the community at a live art show in California. This will be the first live art show for the Dungeons and Dragons Twitch streamed show that began in 2015. Since then, it’s built a community of fans who provide hours of art for the cast’s characters and many locations. Starting January 18th at 7 pm PST, Critters, as the community has taken to being called, will take over the Nucleus Art Gallery in Alhambra, California....

Curious Expedition 2 has just been named winner of the “Best Indie Game” category for GamesCom 2020 awards, subsequently impressing both its publisher Thunderfulgames and developer Maschimensch. So much so that Johannes Kristmann, Co-founder and Art Director at Maschinen-Mensch had the following to say. “We’re humbled and honored to receive this award with so many ridiculously talented indie developers participating in Gamescom this year. Sony was always optimistic about From Software’s Bloodborne. But apparently sales for Bloodborne have exceeded expectations. With over one million titles of the popular fantasy game selling last month and sales expected to increase, Bloodborne has caught almost everyone by surprise. Although, should anyone really be surprised? Considering From Software’s Dark Souls also made impressive sales, it’s no wonder that sister title Bloodborne would benefit from word of mouth. The developer overview trailer for Warcraft Arclight Rumble does not feature minis that are from different families. There is also no mention that players can mix and match minis, leading to some confusion about how much control players have over their armies. Luckily, technical director Monte Krol and executive producer/vice president Vik Saraf spoke with GameRant and clarified this feature.
