Capcom has no plans to bring the popular Monster Hunter franchise to the PS Vita. While fans over on the Capcom forums are asking for the game for the handheld, a Capcom Community Specialist told fans that there are no plans “at the moment”. “Sorry, we’ve got no plans for a PS Vita Monster Hunter at the moment…However, MH Freedom Unite is up on the PS Store,” said Yuri Araujo....

The 2019 reboot of the cult classic ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ will release later this year, but gamers will be able to check out the game’s multiplayer ‘Gunfight Mode’ starting this week. At the Gamescom 2019 on Tuesday, developer Infinity Ward announced that the game’s new 2v2 mode will be available as part of a free Alpha program on PlayStation 4 from August 23-25. Boomerang X, the latest Devolver Digital experience and the first from indie developer DANG, will be launching on various platforms in a week’s time. Players can soon jump into the shoes of an unnamed mummy and get straight to slicing and dicing using an X-shaped boomerang. There’s even a large focus on accessibility features, something that many more developers should be striving for. With so much going for the title, you might wonder if Boomerang is on its way to PlayStation platforms....

Borderlands 2 will launch worldwide with the developer’s vision for the game completely intact, according to a recent announcement from Gearbox Software. If you’ll recall the 2009 release of the original game, Borderlands needed to be “toned down” in some aspects for release in certain territories. “Bandits will be just as likely to explode into bloddy chunks of awesomeness in Germany or Australia as they will be in Canada or England,” said Gearbox....

An interesting tidbit about the universe that many players likely forgot in the first place: Pandora is not “the Borderlands,” it is merely one planet (a notoriously deadly one, mind you) in an area of space referred to as such. This hasn’t much mattered in other games, as Pandora has become synonymous with that given every game has taken place on or near Pandora. However, with Borderlands 3, we finally get to see a sample of the other planets in the Borderlands and adventure in their unique locales....

Clockstone’s Bridge Constructor Portal was released late last year as a Portal spin-off for PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS, sparking some interesting discussions about the Valve franchise’s future. But the game is also making history as the first Valve-adjacent product to land on the Nintendo Switch, after release dates for the game’s console launches were announced earlier today. Bridge Constructor Portal is headed to Nintendo Switch along with Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and the game lands on consoles in less than a month....
