PlayStation has unveiled its plans for a new premium subscription tier system. While the long-term goal is to bring more clarity and choice for players, it is currently a bit confusing for existing Plus and Now customers. Thankfully, not much is set to change for already subscribed customers. Can you upgrade PS Plus Essential to a higher-tier subscription? Once the new PlayStation subscription offerings start phasing into markets after June 2022, players will start seeing new premium services options....

Zacian and Zamazenta, the title legendaries from Pokémon Sword and Shield, have been featured as Raid Bosses in Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, neither of these two Pokémon can be shiny when encountered in the game. Shiny Pokémon are highly sought after, and these legendary Pokémon may receive their shiny forms later, possibly during an event. The 94th Annual Academy Awards was held tonight at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. We watched as stars walked the red carpet, presented Oscar trophies, and even cracked a joke (or face) or two. Press members have been able to give a first look at Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2018, a hands-off session of around 50 minutes that provided them with a premiere of the first-person shooter/RPG from CD Projekt RED. From this hands-off session, multiple details have slipped in the wait for more in-depth previews, and what we see is amazing as you would expect, even though quite different from the things you could’ve been anticipating before the E3....

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of the generation, and overall, there’s a feeling that the wait is about to end. The game will be at E3 2019 in a great way, with two demos being shown hands off to both the press and the visitors on the show floor. But there could be something more. CD Projekt RED could be indeed revealing the release date for the title at E3 2019, which kicks off at the end of the week....

Blumhouse Productions (Happy Death Day, Halloween, Get Out) and Universal Studios are collaborating on a remake of The Thing. However, this remake will take inspiration from the lost pages of the original science-fiction novel: Frozen Hell. The Thing was initially inspired by a novella, Who Goes There?, written by John W. Campbell Jr. However, in 2018, a fully-realized version of the story was found by John Betancourt. He explained, “The published novella was actually an abridged version of Campbell’s original story, called Frozen Hell, which had to be shortened for publication....

From Oct. 1 to Nov. 4, Borderlands 3 players will have the chance to earn extra loot for all kinds of different activities as the series celebrates its 10th anniversary. Each week will have a different theme, which dictates the type of bonus loot dropping and how players can earn it. Now through Oct. 8 is Boss Week, which gives an increased chance for Borderlands 3’s bosses to drop a unique piece of Legendary quality loot when they’re defeated....

There are four playable characters in Silicon Studio’s Bravely Second: End Layer, and each one of them features different base stats that have them better in particular categories compared to the other characters. While min-maxing is definitely possible in this game, the stats for each character are close enough that you’ll be able to find success with each character no matter which job you assign them to. However, rather than worrying about the best job to pick for each character, it is much more important to have an understanding of what each of the 8 player stats mean and how they impact combat....

One thing you’ll notice when you fire up Bulletstorm’s single player experience is the lack of more traditional online game modes. Cliff Bleszinski explains why a less traditional approach was taken with Bulletstorm, and the game is better because of it. Call of Duty: Ghosts will arrive on the Wii U this November, despite speculation that Activision would pass on this year’s offering due to sluggish sales of the new console in 2013. If their first offering on the Wii U, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is any indication, Ghosts should be decent on the platform, and at least up to par with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game....

Free for all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players Today, Activision revealed that the Alpha test of the multiplayer of Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Vanguard will take place from August 27, at 10 AM PT, to August 29, at 10 AM PT, and feature the franchise’s new Champion Hill mode. According to Activision, the Alpha will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players and a subscription to the PlayStation Plus will not be required....

Call of Duty: Warzone has today sent out its July 7 update on all platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Today’s update, like other updates today for Rust Console Edition and F1 22, is small and seems to focus mostly on fixing a number of bugs both found internally and reported by players. Unlike those other games though, some rebalancing was thrown in as well based on how weapons are performing in the current meta....

With Winter Siege over in Call of Duty WW2, Sledgehammer Games is gearing up another in-game event called “The Resistance.” While it’s a couple of weeks away, the developers are already looking at some possible weapon tuning changes that could be made to the game. Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer Games took to Reddit to reveal some of the internal conversations that the studio is having on some of the most-used guns in the game....
