CD Projekt RED has allowed multiple websites to go hands-on with their upcoming shooter RPG Cyberpunk 2077, resulting in more details about the game being available on the internet, such as improvements to the gameplay compared to previous builds, particularly in melee combat. According to PC Gamer, swords can now “be an entire playstyle,” while they previously only felt like a replacement for when players would be out of ammo, or even a simple gimmick....

Warner Bros. Japan announced that the DanMachi season 4B of the anime season (based on the light novel series) will begin a new arc. This comes from after the episode count for 4B was rumored through a number of leaks on social media. The arc will continue to follow Fujino Omori and Suzuhito Yasuda’s DanMachi (also known as Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV). At the same time, a new promo, trailer, and visuals were released with the news....

Microsoft announced their acquisition of Double Fine Productions during their E3 2019 press conference. This acquisition means Double Fine is going to have additional financial support towards the development of any future game the studio plans to work on moving forward. Once they’ve completed RAD, which is releasing this Summer for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and Psychonauts 2, which is Microsoft is publishing next year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, they’re going to have the freedom to work on something completely new and different....

The second half of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 5 operation is on the way and arriving on September 7. Players can look forward to the arrival of two new operators: Hudson, and special guest star, Judge Dredd. Both of these operators will be available for a limited time, alongside a limited-time Ocktoberfest bundle that lets you shoot out bullets that look like beer. The Judge Dredd bundle will be available on September 7 when Season 5 Reloaded launches, and you’ll be able to grab it in the in-game store....

Capcom’s Peter Fabiano, the producer of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village, is leaving Capcom. The surprise announcement came via Twitter, where Fabiano stated that he was leaving the company after 13 years. Fabiano is moving into a new position at Bungie and would appear to be working on Destiny 2 in some capacity. In a follow-up tweet, Fabiano used the phrase, “Eyes up Guardian,” so it would seem that he will be working on Bungie’s highly successful Destiny franchise and not any upcoming project from the studio....

E3, one of the biggest events in the gaming world, was not held this year, and companies started to organize their own events. Summer Game Fest and Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase are scheduled recently. And now, with the latest announcement from Capcom games, we know the date of Capcom Showcase 2022. According to a statement by Capcom, the new Showcase will take place on June 13 at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET and will take longer than 35 minutes....

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was just recently revealed but given that it actually releases in a few short months, the information continues to come out. This time it’s news that Toad will be joined by a female companion, Toadette. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will have players traversing interesting locales, such as Wild West shanties, and Goomba waterparks to hunt for the ultimate treasure, a power star. Nearly the entire main cast of Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series has been revealed. We had previously had confirmation of all of the primary main cast, specifically Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko, but we now have over 20 new cast members confirmed for the series, which is now officially is now in post-production. It’s fair to say that Cats has been having a bit of a rough time with critics and moviegoers, both being less than complimentary about Tom Hooper’s musical. It was previously reported that the majority of CD Projekt Red was working on other projects, with a small portion of the team remaining on Cyberpunk 2077. Dungeons and Dragons fans will celebrate Gary Gygax, the creator of the roleplaying game, Saturday, July 27th on what has come to be known as Gary Gygax Day. Blizzard has finally let the night elf out of the bag about the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, is finally releasing this August.
