As announced through the Pokemon Masters Twitter, the limited-time event is starting on May 2. It is part of the upcoming Poke Fair, an in-game event to bring time-sensitive rewards and collectibles. Microsoft’s Games for Windows Live service has taken another step toward total obsolescence with the latest update to From Software’s Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. The update, which is now live on Steam, removes the service from the game in favor of Valve’s Steamworks service. Steamworks will now manage everything that GFWL used to, including multiplayer and Achievements. Switching to the new service will erase your progress though, which for a game like Dark Souls is quite detrimental....

Activision has been quiet about what to expect from the next Call of Duty game, which is undoubtedly set to arrive later this year. Early rumors suggested that Treyarch would be doubling down on the Black Ops franchise, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Well, this is ironic. The Call of Duty team just announced a new anti-cheat system called Ricochet, and now one of its key components has reportedly been leaked. That’s not good. Crysis 2 is now available for purchase on Steam. The upcoming FPS from Crytek utilizing Cry-Engine 3 will launch on March 22nd, 2011.
