Not everyone had a fun time last week watching Detective Pikachu. A showing at the Guzzo Marche Central cinema in Montreal made a mistake and accidentally had the horror movie The Curse of La Llorona playing instead of Detective Pikachu. The biggest hint for parents that something was amiss was the horror movie trailers going on before the start of the film. It’s hard to copy what makes Dark Souls so special. Anime Dark Souls is the term that’s been thrown around when describing Code Vein leading up to its release. It’s a game from the creators of God Eater which takes the art style of that franchise and places players into a post-apocalyptic world to navigate with a rule set that’s largely been aped from the Dark Souls series. In theory, this should be an incredible game and it is … at times....
Camilla Luddington has been selected as the voice behind Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider title from Crystal Dynamics. Luddington will voice the iconic character after being selected from an international pool of talent. Square Enix says that Luddington stood out among the crowd with the ability to deliver the “youthful tone” necessary for the younger version of Croft. “This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right,” says Darrell Gallagher of Crystal Dynamics....
Daemon X Machina, a mech game from developer Marvelous, was revealed for Nintendo Switch During Nintendo’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct. Daemon X Machina features anime-inspired mech combat in urban settings. Players fly through the air, dodging bullets while shooting enemies both big and large in a highly stylized world. Combat is fluid and open, letting players move freely around the world on both land and air. Expect plenty of explosions, enormous battlefields, and titanic boss battles....
Dawn Wells, most famously known as Mary Ann on the classic sitcom Gilligan’s Island, has passed away. As first reported by TMZ earlier today, which sites a representative of Wells, the actress passed due to COVID-19. She was 82 years old. Dawn Wells was one of two remaining cast members of Gilligan’s Island still alive. With her passing, Tina Louise, who played Ginger, is the last remaining member. Funnily enough, a debate between fans during the show’s run revolved around who was the sexier character....

Activision has released Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 Battle Pass called Nightmare, which adds many new season exclusive rewards to the game, including guns, operators, operator skills, camos, and more. While a few of these rewards are available to unlock for free, players can buy the premium Battle Pass to claim all the tier rewards available while leveling up in the game. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 has been live for a few days, and now its first update has arrived. The latest patch makes an important change to the new Fortune’s Keep map and some of the game’s newest weapons. As detailed in developer Raven Software’s post, some of the new weapons introduced in Season 4 have been tweaked. Specifically, the UGM-8 saw nerfs in terms of muzzle velocity, while the Marco 5 received a few decreased stats too....
A small hotfix dropped into Call of Duty: Warzone on Monday afternoon, but it doesn’t resolve any of the battle royale’s bugs or glitches. Instead, players will notice that the Armored Royale mode has been entirely removed from the title. As developer Raven Software confirmed on social media, its disappearance is due to the growingly-infamous invisibility glitch. Armored Royale, the game mode in which many smaller teams go at each other with weapon-attached vehicles, will be absent indefinitely until Raven has found a solution for the glitch....
