The Cowboy Bebop Netflix Adaptation was put on hiatus after star John Cho suffered a knee injury during filming last year. Production was therefore expected to stall for six or seven months, while Cho recovered from his injury. Reports suggested that only a week of production had gone by before the setback. However, a recent interview with Snowpiercer producer Marty Adelstein has revealed that far more progress has been made on the anime-based series than initially thought....

In the first-ever Parliamentary panel discussion about Crypto Finance, government officials concluded that cryptocurrency investments cannot be stopped in India, and hence, should be regulated. India’s Standing Committee on Finance led by BJP MP Jayant Sinha met with the crypto community, including representatives from crypto exchanges, industry bodies, and Blockchain and Crypto Assets Council (BACC) to discuss the concerns of cryptocurrencies in the country. The panel discussed the promotion and regulation of cryptos in India....

Earlier today, Crytek announced that the Crysis Remastered Trilogy will release later this year on consoles and PC. The bundle will include remastered versions of all three games from the franchise. Players waiting on the long-rumored DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 will likely be waiting until at least 2023. Despite reaching 18 million total copies sold and seeing droves of players return with the enormous 1.5 patch, the base game of Cyberpunk still needs work, according to CD Projekt Red. The studio released a lot of new info about its ongoing development plans during their fiscal year 2021 presentation, from the DLC to team organization and more....

Medal of Honor was a game that took many FPS fans by surprise when it launched back in 2010 as the first offering from the upstart, Danger Close. At the time, EA heralded the game as one to go up against the Call of Duty franchise. It didn’t quite get there when comparing sales, review scores, and popularity of the title, but it was a great game. There have been rumors of a sequel in the works for almost a month now, after job listings were found for the game....

Microsoft has really opened the floodgates in terms of Xbox One Backwards Compatibility releases. Monday saw three new games hit the service, which allows gamers to play select Xbox 360 games on their Xbox One. Today we have two more, and they are pretty big. Dark Souls and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 are now available for Xbox One Backwards Compatibility play. If you own the games digitally for your Xbox 360 then they will appear as ready to install on your Games screen....

Bloodborne has been out for just about four months now and while the game suffered some slowdown and incredibly long load times at launch, From Software has been good about patching the game here and there to better the experience. We told you last week an upcoming patch and now that update is live. As we said before, Bloodborne patch 1.05 is pretty simplistic on the surface, with the changelog saying that they have improved the game’s balance and various bug fixes....

Since the first Borderlands game, weapon affixes (the words making up the gun’s name) have been important. They determine all of the gun’s stats over a predetermined baseline and were somewhat predictable once you saw enough of them. For example, in Borderlands 2 with Dahl manufactured weapons, an “Onslaught” assault rifle has a higher magazine capacity than the baseline, while a “Feral” assault rifle has higher fire rate and accuracy. These affixes were sometimes, but not always mutually exclusive, and Legendary weapons, in particular, are defined by their unique affixes (an accessory part), which makes certain Legendary weapons incompatible with certain other weapon parts....

Call of Duty: Mobile just claimed the record for the biggest mobile game launch ever, garnering 100 million downloads in its first week. The free-to-play shooter launched to immense success Oct. 1, reaching 35 million downloads in its first three days. Downloads for Call of Duty: Mobile hasn’t slowed down much since then. Using data from app tracker Sensor Tower, CNBC reported on the game’s record-breaking launch today. Call of Duty: Mobile’s launch shattered the first-week download record that had been claimed by Mario Kart Tour just a few days earlier....

Infinity Ward is working to fix an issue introduced with the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch. Patch 1.13 has just introduced a series of fixes, new loadout slots, and a crossbow, but unfortunately, not everything has gone smoothly for players. Upon downloading the update, some players have been hit with a message saying that “data is corrupt or didn’t download properly,” and informing them that they have to reset their rank and unlocks to continue....

Since Beat Saber uses motion tracking, you can’t play the game on the PlayStation VR unless you have the PlayStation Move controller. It’s sold separately for $60. Normally, you’d use two controllers to play Beat Saber, but is it possible with just one? You can play Beat Saber on the PSVR with one Move controller. The game has a One-Handed mode, which you can select on the menu screen. Its tracks are a lot different but it is still challenging....

Sony Interactive Entertainment today decided to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. The decision was made after a consultation between SIE and CD Projekt Red, during which the sales for the game and the number of potential refund requests were discussed. Sony’s official statement explains, “SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store”....

With the widespread success of Nintendo Switch, more and more technology giants have been trying to figure out a way to bring portable gaming to users. Alienware is the latest company to take a shot at this with its “Concept UFO” prototype, which was shown off at CES 2020. You can directly launch games via this game launcher and as The Verge points out, it will power up the game via Steam if that’s where the title lives....

Microsoft’ SMS Organizer for Android is one of our favorite SMS apps, so much so that we’d recommend it to anyone with an Android smartphone. The app offers a ton of handy features that allow users to effortlessly manage their inbox which are continuously bombarded with a slew of promotional and marketing messages. Earlier this year in January, Microsoft rolled out a major update for the app which brought the ability to track the user’s funds and bank accounts from within the app....

If you read our review of Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., or listend to me discuss my impressions during our first podcast, then you would have noted that one of the biggest issues with the game was the extremely long pauses for the enemy’s turns. This issue has now been fixed with Code Name S.T.E.A.M. Update 1.1.0 which will allow players to speed up and fast-forward through these sections of the game. The update is available now in the Nintendo eShop, so hop on there and grab it if you have the game already....

The first trailer for Dead Island hit the net yesterday, and it sparked some controversy. Mainly because of the way it chose to depict the death of a small child during an obviously fictional zombie outbreak in the game. It’s best that we don’t try to break this down, it’s not what we do here. I don’t have kids (or a soul) so watching a computer rendered image of a small child battling for their life doesn’t hit home with me, not so much because I don’t care about kids, but because my brain can discern the difference between reality and a video game....
