The development team decided to take some more time for polishing.

Recently, Asad Qizilbash, Sony Interactive Entertainment America’s Vice President of Marketing, took to the official PlayStation blog to give some reminders and updates about upcoming PlayStation games. One such game is the highly anticipated open-world zombie game Days Gone, which has received a new release date.

In this blog post, it was revealed that Days Gone has been delayed and will now come out on April 26, 2019. According to the post, the game’s developer, SIE Bend Studio, wanted some more time to finish polishing it up. This isn’t the first time the game has been delayed, as it was originally expected to release sometime in 2018 before receiving the release date of February 22, 2019 earlier this year. Of course, it’s always a little bit disappointing when a game is delayed, but as the great Shigeru Miyamoto once said, “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”

Other games’ release dates or windows were discussed in the blog post, such as SIE Japan and FromSoftware’s VR game Déraciné, which is coming to PlayStation VR on November 6; Pixelopus’ Concrete Genie, which is set for a spring 2019 release; and Clap Hanz and SIE Japan’s Everybody’s Golf VR, which is also set to release sometime next spring.
