Darksiders 2 is set to release on June 26th according to the game’s official Twitter account. The second story in the franchise that encompasses the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse features Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsmen.
Death will seek to to redeem his brother’s name after the cliffhanger ending in the original Darksiders alluded to his arrival on Earth. As Death fights to save the earth from Apocalypse, he’ll uncover that there is a far deeper threat at work.
Being published by THQ, the company is hoping on Darksiders II to have a strong impact on the bottom line, which has been flopping as of late. Expect more information leading up to the game’s release this summer.
THQ has also revealed three pre-order incentives, different for each retailer.
GameStop: Death Rides Pack – Features exclusive side quests in the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains
Best Buy: Angel of Death Pack – Features enhanced armor inspired by the look of an angel, with matching scythes.
