Dark Souls 2 has been delayed on the PC, in the UK, and only for the boxed version of the game. Bandai Namco has confirmed earlier rumors, revealing that a “manufacturing issue” will affect UK customers looking to pick up the boxed version of the game.
The boxed version of Dark Souls 2 in the UK will now release on May 2nd. “This is only affecting the UK on the boxed release of the game,” the publisher told Eurogamer.
The digital release of Dark Souls 2 is still slated for April 25th. That means no matter where you live, you’ll be able to download the game via Steam with everyone else.
Reports from early play suggest that the PC version of Dark Souls 2 is a significant upgrade in a number of areas when it comes to the game’s visual fidelity. Higher resolution and frame rate are reportedly making the PC version of Dark Souls 2 the superior experience.
