According to Deadline, Daredevil has been canceled after three seasons.
Netflix released this statement to Deadline:
Daredevil is just the latest Marvel Netflix series to get the ax this year. After putting out second seasons that were generally better received by the masses, both Luke Cage and Iron Fist were canceled. This put a lot of pressure on what would become of Daredevil, which had yet to air its third season at the time. It appears that Netflix is gearing up for life without Marvel as only Jessica Jones and The Punisher remain on the streaming platform.
(Spoilers for Daredevil season 3 ahead)
The third season of Daredevil ended on a surprisingly good note, with Kingpin back behind bars and the reunion of Nelson and Murdock. The only major cliffhanger for the season was with Benjamin ‘Dex’ Poindexter (AKA Bullseye), who was being operated on using an experimental treatment to fix his fractured spine. The season ended with Poindexter waking up during the surgery, teasing that this was not the last time we would see the iconic Daredevil villain.
Well, turns out it was the last time we would see him and honestly, this news is quite disappointing. The third season was simply remarkable and garnered a perfect score from us. Here is an excerpt from our review:
