Daemon X Machina, a mech game from developer Marvelous, was revealed for Nintendo Switch During Nintendo’s E3 2018 Nintendo Direct.

Daemon X Machina features anime-inspired mech combat in urban settings. Players fly through the air, dodging bullets while shooting enemies both big and large in a highly stylized world. Combat is fluid and open, letting players move freely around the world on both land and air. Expect plenty of explosions, enormous battlefields, and titanic boss battles. No story details were revealed as of yet.

The game is being produced by Kenichiro Tsukuda and directed by both Ken Awata and Ken Karube. Tsukuda formerly worked as a producer for Armored Core.

Marvelous originally announced that it was working on a new title Nintendo Switch title, although Daemon X Machina was not revealed until E3 2018. In the past, Marvelous published Senran Kagura, an echii series popular across PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and the company also brought Skullgirls to PC.

Daemon X Machina wasn’t the only game unveiled during the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate got a lot of time, revealing that every single character from the series is back. Super Mario Party and Fortnite for Nintendo Switch were also introduced, with the latter releasing later today.

Daemon X Machina is set for release in 2019. No release date was revealed for the game, and it remains unclear for now if it will be available for other platforms. Expect more information on the game as 2019 looms closer.
