Cyberpunk 2077 hotfix 1.11 is available on PC, consoles, and Stadia, carries fixes for issues that have irritated players for some time. The bug that prevented players from progressing during the Down on the Street quest has finally been fixed. Players should now get all of the appropriate dialogue options and be able to progress in the game. Changes to item randomization that happened in patch 1.1 have also been rolled back. As part of the item randomization changes, CD Projekt Red is continuing to investigate the now notorious save/load loot exploit.

Cyberpunk has been plagued with bugs since its release, but CD Projekt Red has slowly but surely been fixing them as the game gains notoriety and continues to grow.

Since patch 1.06, players have been getting stuck with bugged conversation options if they saved during the “Wait for Takemura’s Call” objective during the Down on the Street quest. The bug prevented players from progressing any further in the game, forcing them to either load up a previous save or start over entirely. Players were previously missing important dialogue options and were not able to interact with NPCs. This fix has been vital to overall gameplay and is welcome news to the game’s ever-patient fanbase.

CD Projekt Red had changed item randomization in patch 1.1 to deal with save/load exploits, also known as save scumming or re-rolling, but those changes have been rolled back with hotfix 1.11 after players complained that items were no longer matching the player level. Save scumming previously allowed players to save just before looting an area, then load that save back up if they didn’t get any items they wanted. The developers have been working to get rid of this exploit, but in the most recent attempt, they accidentally caused all of the loot randomization tables to be bugged and give players items that either didn’t have the right number of sockets or didn’t match the player’s level.

Rolling back the item randomization changes seems to have fixed this bug, and players can find items that match their level again, but the save/load exploit is still usable. CD Projekt Red has stated that “the save/load loot exploit will be investigated further.”
