Microsoft’s 2018 E3 show ended in a huge way with a world-premier trailer of CD Projekt Red’s next endeavor, Cyberpunk 2077.
The short trailer showed off a striking view of the future of 2077, narrated by someone who is presumably the main character. It looks glorious, both graphics-wise and just knowing that the team behind The Witcher is developing it.
But with a closer look, there’s even more to the trailer than just showing off how pretty the game is. At the very end of the trailer above, the video distorts for a split second, and a message appears on screen. The message is from the developers.
The message is from CD Projekt Red to the fans who have been waiting to hear more about the game since it was announced in 2014. In the message, the developer explains that pre-production on the game began once The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine expansion was finished.
CD Projekt Red makes it clear that the game is quite a ways out from releasing, all DLCs will be free, and there won’t be any microtransactions.
