The official twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077 has confirmed that the game will, in fact, be at E3 this coming June! This doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise but is good news nevertheless, especially considering the recent shift in E3 attendees (We’re going to miss you, Sony!).

The Electronic Entertainment Expo has always been home to the latest video game news. With the onslaught of on-demand devices and never-ending news cycles, many have declared this annual expo outdated. That is, however, coming from an industry standpoint. From a gamer’s perspective, this show remains prestigious and relevant thanks to public access.

CD Projekt Red’s next big release of Cyberpunk 2077 adds to the hype and is a welcome addition! While it could be argued that the medium of conventions is falling behind, I see tremendous merit in CDPR sticking to the basics for this release. After all, what better opportunity to stick to the basics than for a game that’s been in the works for what has felt like forever.

It’s no secret that this game comes on the coattails of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and the tremendous success that it found. I believe that is the catalyst for Cyberpunk 2077 owning the news cycle with an otherwise traditional tweet. All eyes are on CD Projekt Red!
