Cyberpunk 2077 has a rather unique feature at the start of the game, in form of the lifepath system. This changes not only the way that V begins their adventures but a lot of other things as well. Expectingly, it can be difficult to figure out which one suits you best. Thankfully, I have you covered. In this guide, I’ll tell you exactly what each lifepath gives you so you can make that sort of decision for yourself.
Choosing Your Lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077
First of all, it’s important to understand the basic differences between each lifepath in Cyberpunk 2077. The major difference is in V’s backstory and where they came from. The three different choices are Corpo, Street Kid, and Nomad. As such, your backstory is based around corporate life, living in the streets, or living in the outskirts of Night City respectively. Along with this, your chosen lifepath changes the prologue mission, how you meet Jackie Welles, dialogue options, and access to specific side-quests.
As such, completionists will of course want to run through all three in Cyberpunk 2077. For the average player like myself or you, your lifepath choice will come down to whatever you think fits you the best. While these differences definitely provide distinct advantages, they’re about equal as far as their level of advantage goes. Not only that, but it’s important to pick something that you feel would fit the narrative of your V. The level of immersion is a big part of your experience not only playing Cyberpunk 2077 but RPG games in general, and thus your lifepath is a big factor in that.
