During a presentation to advertisers, CW President Mark Pedowitz shared a few details surrounding the Arrowverse’s highly anticipated “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event. It was revealed (via ComicBook) that “Crisis on Infinite Earths” will be 5 hours long and take place over 2 quarters (probably meaning before and after the mid-season break for all CW DC programming).

This definitely makes “Crisis on Infinite Earths” the largest crossover in the Arrowverse’s history. TVLine has confirmed that the 5 shows taking part in the crossover will be Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, and Legends of Tomorrow. That doesn’t count out the possibility of seeing characters like Black Lightning pop up to lend a hand. Other DCTV shows like Doom Patrol and Titans could also be in play to guest star but seeing as these shows have a nice home over on the DC Universe streaming service, it would probably be best to keep these 2 networks separated. It would be cool to see Tom Welling reprise his role as Superman from Smallville though.
(Spoilers for Arrow season 7 and The Flash season 5 finales ahead)
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” was heavily built up in the finales for both Arrow and The Flash. For The Flash, it was revealed that the timeline has been moved up and Barry vanishes in 2019 instead of 2024. Reverse Flash also teased his involvement, telling Barry he would see him at the next Crisis. As the newspaper article stated, Reverse Flash leads an army of shadow demons so that should be a fun scene this Fall.
Arrow took a lot more time building up the event. After defeating the Ninth Circle, Oliver and Felicity retire to live off the grid and raise their daughter. A few months pass and the 2 are living a quiet yet satisfying life. That is until The Monitor returns to tell Oliver he is needed for the impending Crisis and that he is destined to die during the event. It’s safe to say that both Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will also help tease this monumental crossover.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will air sometime this Fall (presumably December) on the CW.
