There has been a lot of speculation and rumor about the possibility of Crysis 3 on the Wii U.  After Crytek explained that there was a “fat chance” of the shooter arriving on the new console, it got many fans wondering why that was the case.  So much so, that Crytek better phrased their answers to journalist questions about the possibility of Crysis 3 on the Wii U.

Most recently, Crytek left the door open for a release on the Wii U.  “I wouldn’t say no chance,” Crytek’s Mike Read said in a recent interview. “I mean the Wii U still doesn’t have any kind of release attached to it at this point. Who knows what the future will bring with it. I can definitely say that we are working with Nintendo, and that’s about all I can say on that front.”

Today however, Crytek’s Nick Button-Brown dispelled myths that they do have a Wii U Crysis 3 project in the works.

Perhaps Crytek is waiting to see just how popular the Wii U will be after it arrives later this year.  Crysis 3 is due out in early 2013 on the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360.

Just to answer the speculation, we are not currently working on a wiiU version of #Crysis3.
