Cruella de Vil Origin Story
When Disney initially announced an origin story for Cruella de Vil, fans had concerns that this movie seems to actively dismantle.
Fans were concerned that Disney was trying to make a sympathetic villain out of a puppy killer. But the movie’s interpretation of the titular character is actually more similar to, Hello, Cruel Heart. The novelization of Cruella focuses more on how the road that led to her iconic fur obsession.
Fans were also concerned that Emma Stone wouldn’t be able to live up to Glenn Close’s iconic performance. But the Cruella reviews all have one thing in common: critics love Stone’s performance.
