Parents are willing to do everything to get money for their daughter’s university. They come up with exciting ideas – opening a casino at home.
During the interview, director Andrew Jay Cohen said that it was fun to work with Amy and Will. Andrew noted that they had visited dozens of casino resorts in North America. Both writers have visited casinos in the USA and Canada. Countries have very popular casino resorts, and visiting those resorts was important for the actual atmosphere.

In the movie, we see real-life casino scenes. The director of the film focused more on real-life casino operations. People working on movies know that roulette, Black Jack, and slots are leading games in the casino industry.
Jay Cohen admitted that Canadian and American casinos gave him an excellent atmosphere. Director has copycatted the exact same aura in the movie. Jay Cohen said that it took him continuous hours to make a perfect copycat on how people play roulette or other games in the casino. Director and the movie writer had created an eye-catching scene solely related to roulette and Black Jack.
“The House” has an exciting concept. Jay Cohen’s main idea was to create a real-life casino. As mentioned above, the director has visited dozens of gambling venues in North America.
Will Ferrell’s and Amy Poehler’s collaboration
Fans were thrilled with creative collaboration. Amy and Will are Hollywood stars for many years, but they have never collaborated on a high level. Their sense of humor was the leading indicator of the movie’s success.
Will Ferrell‘s character is fascinating. Scott Johnson’s development is different and creative. The second part could be about the next level of the home casino. Money for the university was the main object of the first part, what would be the main goal for the second part? Maybe they can build the biggest home casino in the USA?
