The cast and crew of Critical Role are showing off the stunning art by fans from the community at a live art show in California.
This will be the first live art show for the Dungeons and Dragons Twitch streamed show that began in 2015. Since then, it’s built a community of fans who provide hours of art for the cast’s characters and many locations.
Starting January 18th at 7 pm PST, Critters, as the community has taken to being called, will take over the Nucleus Art Gallery in Alhambra, California. The show will feature dozens of pieces created by the Critical Role fans. Each one handpicked by the cast of the show. The art collection will include work from the show’s first campaign featuring Vox Machina and the continent of Tal’Dorei, plus the second and current campaign of Wildemount following the Mighty Nein.

Tess Fowler, one of the artists that’s been working with Critical Role for quite a while, will be attending the gallery.

The official artist for the second campaign Ari, as they go by on social media, will be at the gallery showing off their work.
Liam O’Brien said during an episode of Talks Machina that the crew went through hundreds of pictures from the various artists in the community before narrowing the final dozen or so.

Critical Role is also putting on another live show Saturday the 19th. Although they are on a new campaign, this one-shot game will see a few of the characters from the first campaign attempt to rescue their lovable death machine, Grog Strongjaw.
For those who can’t make the live show, the Critical Role crew posts weekly art on their official website. It is completely free to get in and tour the work from many dedicated artists. The art show will run Friday through Sunday until 8 PM.
