An underrated mechanic that can help you win.
Coming in first place in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is certainly easier said than done. This means you will have to use all the tricks in the book sometimes to squeak out a victory. We’ve already told you about techniques like Power Sliding and Turbo Boosts, but one of the most underrated of all is definitely the boosts gotten from jumping off of ramps and this guide will explain just how you can pull it off.
How To Get A Speed Boost Off Ramps In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
Getting a boost for jumping off ramps in a kart racer is nothing new, but what is a bit different in this game is how you get a boost after falling off a higher ledge and landing on a lower one. However, you can make this even better by pulling off a jump when coming off such ledges, as well as ramps, and even small hills that cause you to go into the air a bit.
Whenever you are about to go off a ramp or anything type of area that has you bouncing in the air, make sure to press R1 on PS4, or the button on you respective platforms. This will cause your racer to fly even higher and faster, also getting an even bigger boost when you hit the ground. If you can continually pull this technique off with multiple ramps in a row, you can get a real leg up on the competition in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
