It has been several years since gamers have been treated to a Crackdown game. Well it sounds like Crackdown 3 will satisfy the long wait for fans as this new game promises to be bigger and better than its predecessors.
Several developers from Sumo Digital and Reagent Games explained in some detail what it was like making Crackdown 3 via a new podcast they recorded. They gave us some information on the actual scope this new game has and more.
What has changed the most in this new game is that they have overhauled the architecture to make the city feel more alive and diverse. Certain areas of the game will look far different than other places depending on who’s living there and so forth. The environment will also be a part of the storytelling elements.
The city will be more than just stationery buildings as a lot of moving parts have been added. Things that will move around include the likes of platforms, elevators, monorails and more. This sense of movement allows players to interact with objects in many ways and travel in a unique fashion as well.
Lastly, Crackdown 3’s city will obviously be bigger than the two cities featured in the other games. However, the large size doesn’t mean the city will be unrecognizable as some elements have been retained. This game is expected to be out later this year exclusively for Xbox One.
