It is no surprise to our readers by the many Corsair reviews we have written that we are a fan of these products! Let’s look at more! First, we will take a closer look at the HS70 Bluetooth Wireless Headset and then, the ST100 RGB Premium Headset Stand with 7.1 Surround Sound!

Christmas is approaching and Corsair has a huge variety of items you could choose as a gift for that gamer or techie person in your life.

Corsair HS70 Bluetooth Headset

What’s in the Box?

The Corsair HS70 Bluetooth Headset comes with the following:

  • CORSAIR HS70 BLUETOOTH Headset
  • USB Charging Cable (1.8m)
  • 3.5mm Stereo Cable (1.5m)
  • Quick Start Guide
  • Warranty Card
  • Safety Leaflet

Specifications:

Design:

The Corsair HS70 Bluetooth Headset design is simple but sleek.  If you are looking for lights and such, this probably would not be your best choice.  It has a black matte finish and is built with a mix of metal, plastic and chrome.

The headband is made of metal, however, it is covered in a soft material and foam to make it comfortable on your head. The earcups are made of memory foam to increase the comfort level, as well.

On the outside of the earcup, you will see a metal grill which gives it a nice solid appearance and feel.

Overall, the headset is light in weight but still feels like a well-made product.

The slot for the detachable microphone is located on the left earcup as well as the mute button for the microphone, volume control knob, 3.5mm jack for the wired connection, and a USB-C port.

Located on the right earcup is the button used for connecting wirelessly to a Bluetooth device such as a cell phone.

Connectivity:

This headset is a wired headset for most purposes such as gaming on several different consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One or PC.

It also has a Bluetooth connection which allows you to connect to mobile devices or other devices that have that capability. Not that I would want to, but you literally could listen to music and hear your phone call on a mobile device at the same time.

Nintendo Switch users may want to check this headset out because you can connect to the game and the voice chat at the same time!

Performance:

With many of the headsets in this price range, you would expect the quality of sound to be lacking, however, we did not find this to be the case. The sounds were sharp and crisp and equally distributed to make it just the right treble and bass.

The earcups are large enough to help cancel outside noise which can be helpful if you happen to be in a noisy environment.

When it comes to the wireless performance, this is where some might find this headset to be a little disappointing.  The Bluetooth connection does not work on a PC or console.

The battery life for the headset is supposed to be around 30 hours, we experienced it to be around 25 hours. That’s not bad!

Overall, the performance of this headset was very good and left us pleasantly surprise considering it is affordable compared to most.

Verdict – Corsair HS70 Bluetooth Headset:

If you want bells and whistles and flashy lights, this headset is not for you.  But, if you want a quality, well-made, great-sounding headset with a wired and wireless connection, this is definitely one to research.

I would truly look into how the wired and wireless connections work but, for around $80, you can have a very nice headset that will serve most purposes. Corsair tends to make very good products and we believe this one is another to add to that list.

Corsair ST100 RGB Premium Headset Stand with 7.1 Surround Sound

Whether you purchase the HS70 or one of the other many headsets available through Corsair, you should consider their ST100 RGB Premium Headset Stand to hang it on.

Design/Build:

This stand is built with aluminum that makes it a very durable product.  It also has a rubberized base to keep it in one place and your headset safe from damage.

The stand also comes with two 3.1 USB inputs.

Lighting:

As you have read with our previous reviews on Corsair RGB lighting, you will find this stand to fit right in with your desk setup. It provides RGB lighting (9 zones) which means you have a wide variety of color options.  There are presets and patterns or you can customize your own using the iCUE software.

Sound:

You typically do not think of sound when you consider which headset stand you are going to choose.  With this stand, you will need to include that in your research.

The Corsair ST100 RGB Headset Stand gives you an alluring audio experience with its integrated 3.5 mm analog input activating a full range Stereo or 7.1 Surround sound.

Verdict – Corsair ST100 RGB Headset Stand

The Corsair ST100 RGB Headset Stand brings you a solid place to hang your favorite headset and offers some 7.1 Surround sound too! The lighting is an added bonus and can be customized to go with all your other Corsair lighting.

I realize it does have bells and whistles but the price is a little high for my taste.  But, overall, if you don’t mind the price this is a really cool headset stand!
