Given just how recent the event was, not too many games from the February Steam Next Fest have made their debut in early access or otherwise. You can’t blame the developers either, seeing as not many would create a demo when their game is a month out from release. Core Keeper is not one of those games, with a multiplayer demo featured alongside an early March release. And with the game just recently being released in Early Access to the public, they’ve been diligent in sending out the game to their fans. That diligence seems to have paid off, as the Core Keeper development team has announced the game has sold 250K copies sold!
What The Team Had to Say About This Achievement
Over on the official Steam page for the game, the team had the following to say about this major milestone:
Now some of you may be wondering why this is major seeing as so many games sell easily in the millions these days. Well, unlike those games, Core Keeper is made by a small and rather unknown development team. Because of this, hitting even 250K sold is a massive amount and a big step towards the Core Keeper team’s future success. That’s not even including that this is in early access, spelling good things for the game’s future development.
We have had an overwhelmingly positive response from our community, and we’re extremely grateful to all of you who have become a part of our adventure! Thank you for all the feedback – which we are listening to closely, and also some awesome all new ideas!”
I’d love to hear your thoughts though. Have you played Core Keeper or heard of it? Will you be playing it given its massive success thus far? Let me know!
