Singer Britney Spears‘ unpredictable antics gave her Instagram fans a panic once again, resulting in a routine police call to her home in Thousand Oaks. The incident played out shortly after the star deleted her Instagram account, forcing concerned fans to contact the cops and request a visit to her house to see if she was okay.

Speaking to TMZ, law enforcement officials revealed that the 41-year-old deleted her Instagram account sometime within the last 12 hours. While it was not the first time the iconic princess of pop would do so, the move left some of her fans convinced she was in trouble. This prompted them to place a call to the Ventura Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Officers Confirmed Britney Spears’ Safety Following The Home Call

Responding to the reports from fans, Sheriff’s deputies visited Britney Spears’ home and found no cause for alarm. While the cops failed to reveal whether or not they spoke with the star directly or through her husband or other third parties during the home call, they confirmed they had no cause to believe she was in danger.

The police visit to Britney Spears’ home comes days after the icon announced her decision to abandon her mansion in Calabasas and move back to her old house in Thousand Oaks. Explaining the move, the Toxic crooner, who lived in the Thousand Oaks mansion for years before marrying husband Sam Asgari and relocating to Calabasas, admitted she always preferred her old house, and never “vibed” with the new one.

The couple purchased the Calabasas mansion last year, at $11.8 million following their June 2022 nuptials. Less than a year later, she secretly put up the home for sale at $12 million, deciding to move back to Thousand Oaks for good. The move comes weeks after the icon reportedly experienced a manic episode during an altercation with her husband in a public restaurant.

Britney Spears followed it up with another shocker, changing her name on Instagram to River Red. While it is unclear why the star made the spontaneous decision, no doubt her latest feats have some connection to the social media platform or perhaps online trolls.
