Talk show host Conan O’Brien will be a character in the upcoming Death Stranding. The announcement came along with a video of Conan visiting Hideo Kojima at the Kojima Productions studio.
In the video, Conan takes a tour of Kojima Productions and meets with Kojima to discuss the new game. They also bond over Japanese superhero Ultraman and check out an impressive-looking coat rack.
From there, they check out the room where they do all the 3D scans of all the characters who will be in the game.
Conan to Play The Wandering MC
After the video, Kojima revealed on Twitter that Conan will be in the game as prepper The Wandering MC in Death Stranding. He will be a hologram that speaks with you, but probably not integral to the story.
Conan O’Brien appears as a prepper “The Wondering MC” in DS. You get “Sea Otter Suit” when you get connected with him. With this suit, you’ll be able to swim easily in the river, you won’t be drifted away! BB would be happy as well. ???☔️?????✋?? pic.twitter.com/nIsw5JS5t0

Not only will Conan be in Death Stranding, but his character will give you an exclusive item in-game. Connecting with The Wandering MC will get you the Sea Otter Suit, which will let you swim easily in rivers.
In terms of rewards, the Sea Otter Suit is a definite standout. The hood is designed after a cute sea otter and brings some levity to what will probably be a more somber experience.
Conan is one of many of the celebrity performances and cameos in Death Stranding. The most notable ones are Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, but other standouts include Geoff Keighley and Nicolas Winding Refn.
Death Stranding will release on November 8, 2019, on the PlayStation 4. This is the first game to come out of the newly reformed Kojima Productions after Hideo Kojima was let go from Konami following the release of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.
