American TV host and comedian, Conan O’Brien sells his beach home for $16.5 million after listing it in July. The oceanfront property, located south of Santa Barbara in Carpinteria, CA, was sold after the former SNL writer got the tempting offer. The host’s home stands just a few steps from the sand and he’s sure the buyer is going to enjoy it.

Conan and his wife, Liza, had sold the 2,142 square foot pad initially. However, they bought it back in 2015 for $7.9 million. This time around, the house has gone for grabs, and it’s likely not getting back to them again.

After Conan O’Brien declared his readiness to sell his oceanfront property, he bought another one in the same area. The former late-night talk show host reportedly doled out $23 million for the new property. He can add “realtor” to his portfolio now.

Conan O’Brien Buys a New Home in Carpinteria After Selling His Beach Home

Conan O’Brien had to sell his beach home for a whopping $16.5 million after it was remodeled. The house has a panoramic and coastline view as there’s a large deck with an in-built BBQ. There’s also a view deck with private stairs leading to the beach.

The main house includes two bedrooms and a detached two-bedroom guest house with a wraparound deck. Also, there’s a gym and a Tesla charging station. For the swimmers and surfers, there’s an outdoor shower and storage space for surfboards and other items.

The reason Conan O’Brien had to sell his former Carpinteria beach home is unclear. But one distinctive feature is that the newly acquired $23 million dollar seaside home is bigger in size. It’s also a four-bedroom, however, it’s sitting on 3,400 square feet of living space.

The property was previously owned by a Connecticut-based restructuring specialist, Tim Coleman. It was built in the early 1960s; sitting on over an acre of land with a great view of the ocean.

The sold and newly acquired properties aren’t the only ones owned by the TBS star. The star also reportedly owns another $20 million Pacific Palisades mansion.
