Characters

Every main character, or cards marked with gold patterns, is unlocked in the main story. The only exception is Monster Melanie, who can only be unlocked by choosing to save her in your ending.

Shopkeeper cards, and their flipside stories, can be unlocked by speaking to them at least once in every town. Other NPC cards can be unlocked by speaking to them once.

Monsters

Every monster card, and their flipside story, can be unlocked by fighting them at least three times. The only exceptions are bosses, which you only need to fight once.

The second-to-the-last card in the Monsters collection is The Dragon’s Malice. He’s a post-endgame boss that appears in the Vexing Cave, which appears after you’ve beaten the game once.

Endings

The first three ending cards can be unlocked by choosing to either save Melanie, Mar, or the Dragon after you beat the Ewyllyswyn. The fourth ending, where you choose to save them all, can be unlocked when you have all 10 Mysterious Cards.
