In January, Marvel is honoring some iconic Marvel history with classic homage covers. These 25 variant covers place some of today’s biggest Marvel heroes within beloved Marvel comic covers. Today’s artists add a modern twist to the iconic covers by imbuing them with their own style.
What to Expect!
With over 25 classic homage covers getting a modern treatment, plenty of Marvel heroes are featured. They include Elektra in her new Daredevil suit as she takes on Bullseye. This cover allows artist Frank Cho to take on Frank Miller’s iconic Daredevil #181. Meanwhile, John Romita Jr. is tackling his father’s iconic “Spider-Man No More!” cover. A classic homage cover from Leinil Francis You adds a mutant spin to Star Wars #1.
These covers are instantly recognizable to any comic fan. Now, they are reborn for a whole new generation to enjoy. Plus, it gives up and coming artists the opportunity to flex their artistic muscles and show what they can really do.
