Homeland star Claire Danes has joined the cast of the FX limited series Fleishman Is in Trouble. It’s based on the novel of the same name by features journalist Taffy Brodesser-Akner. She joins Jesse Eisenberg and Lizzy Caplan for the series. Brodesser-Akner wrote the teleplay and is an executive producer for the series. The FX limited series follows the recently divorced man in his forties, Toby Fleishman (played by Jesse Eisenberg), who enjoys a single life through dating apps until his ex-wife up and vanishes. Toby is left to be a single parent to his kids. He reflects on his marriage and tries to figure out what happened to his wife, Rachel (played by Claire Danes). Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Susannah Grant, Jonathan Dayton, and Valerie Faris are executive producers for Fleishman Is in Trouble alongside Brodesser-Akner. Dayton and Faris will direct part of the series as well.
Claire Danes Has Carried Her Success Into Adulthood
Long before her role in Fleishman Is in Trouble, Danes wowed audiences as a child actor. She first got the attention of critics as Angela Chase in the series My So Called Life. She won a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award for the role. She gained further acclaim for her roles in Rome + Juliet and Little Women. Claire Danes have graced the stage in a production of the Vagina Monologues and the Broadway play Pygmalion. She wowed audiences with her portrayal in the HBO film Temple Grandin. Danes received several nominations and awards playing Carrie Mathison in the Showtime series Homeland. The actor has been a sure thing on television and will return once again for the FX limited series Fleishman Is in Trouble. It’s unsure how much screen time Danes will get as Rachel in the series, but she is no small star. No matter how big or small her role in the FX limited series, she will definitely make an impact with her performance as she has her entire career.
Fleishman Is in Trouble is made by ABC Signature and will stream on Hulu.
