Look out your window right now. What’s the weather like? Depending on where you live, and when you’re reading this, you might see the sunshine, snow, light rain, or maybe even a thunderstorm. Now imagine what it would be like to live in a city constantly ravaged by storms and populated by animals. Well, that’s the situation in Against the Storm, a roguelite city-builder developed by Eremite Games and published by Hooded Horse. This city-builder game is currently in Early Access on the Epic Games Store, where it received an update earlier today.

In Against the Storm, the player takes on the role of the Viceroy of the Scorched Queen. The player must oversee the construction of refuge from a phenomenon known as the Blightstorm. According to today’s press release, building the city requires quite a bit of effort.

The Update Adds a New Feature to Against the Storm

Today’s update introduced a new mechanic to the game called Timed Orders. Players can now take on specific tasks, which they must complete within a time limit. Finishing a Timed Order will grant a reward. Failing will result in a penalty.

Today’s update also changed an existing feature in Against the Storm.

Against the Storm is coming to GOG and Steam later this year. It’s out now in Early Access on the Epic Games Store.
