We’ve been following the development of Cities Skylines, the city-building simulator being developed by Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive, with great interest for a while now. Finally, we now have a concrete release date of March 10th of this year!

Of course, this date will be subject to change as so many other release dates for so many other games have done so, but Paradox Interactive has generally been quite good to sticking to dates once they’ve been announced, even if they will push back release windows.

Cities Skylines may not necessarily completely revolutionize the whole genre of city-building games, but with few other true competitors it’s good to see some new blood coming into the mix. Colossal Order, the developers, themselves have had quite some success with city-related games with their Cities in Motion mass-transit simulation series. Undoubtedly, being a Paradox Interactive game, there will be plenty of user-made content to play with in addition to the base game due to their emphasis on moddability.

Cities Skylines is set to release on March 10th for PC. You can pre-order it now to get some pre-order exclusive buildings and items right here on their official website. Check back in the coming weeks as we will boil down some of the features you will see in Cities Skylines.
