Learn more about Square Enix’s upcoming JRPG before its release this Fall.
Are you itching to see some more English gameplay of Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age on the PlayStation 4? Lucky for you, PlayStation Underground has got you covered. In its most recent episode, the PlayStation-themed online show has brought us 17 minutes of Square Enix’s highly-anticipated JRPG.
To recap, Dragon Quest 11 is the latest entry of the long-running Dragon Quest series which first released on the Famicom back in 1986. Developed by Enix, the franchise to Square’s Final Fantasy until the two merged in 2003 to form Square Enix.
One of the main charms for the series has been its tried-and-true gameplay which is firmly routed in the traditions of the past, opting not to incorporate the whole gamut of additions that modern JPRGs are so keen on utilizing. And Dragon Quest 11 looks to keep that tradition alive as we see in this video, which has Square Enix guide through a dungeon, showing off an assortment of the game’s features along the way.
Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age is due out for the PlayStation 4 and PC on Sept. 4. A version for the Nintendo Switch is also in the works but not even Square Enix knows when it will arrive.
