alt title:  MCU Confirms The Return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil

If you are a huge fan of the lamentably canceled Netflix Marvel shows, The Nerd Stash has amazing news for you: It has been confirmed that Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil to the MCU! In an interview with Cinemablend, Kevin Feige, the mastermind who has engineered the greatest cinema universe since Frankenstein crossed path with the Wolfman, finally stopped toying with our emotions:

If you are at all familiar with Feige, you know fans have been pleading and begging for the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil since ten seconds after the show’s cancellation three years ago. Feige has refused to confirm the Man Without Fear’s future in the MCU in any way at all. With this sudden bombshell, it’s all but guaranteed Daredevil will be back, and fan-favorite Charlie Cox will be under the mask.

Will Charlie Cox Return As Daredevil To The MCU On The Big Or Little Screen?

That’s the billion dollar franchise question now, isn’t it? There have been plenty of rumors but we just don’t know yet. It would be amazing to see Charlie Cox return as Daredevil to the MCU in any form, true. But what would do his character the most justice?

A big-budget blockbuster every couple of years with crossovers with, say, Spider-Man, would be phenomenal. The action would be bigger. The stories would be bigger. Everything would be…bigger. And sometimes, bigger is better. But sometimes it’s not.

This is arguably one of the greatest fight scenes Marvel has ever produced and it is anything but big:

Netflix’s Daredevil was not big. It was intimate and personal. It was the story of Matt Murdock and his life. His friends and failures. His struggles and triumphs. What made Daredevil so good is the same thing that made WandaVision so exceptional: The long-form character building and storytelling that is native to television.

In a perfect world, Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil to the MCU in an ongoing series and also regularly appear in the movies. What are you hoping for now that your favorite badass lawyer is returning to the Marvel Universe?
