The Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox says the Disney+ superhero series “probably won’t be as gory” as the Netflix one. He recently reprised his role as the masked vigilante in She-Hulk. He previously played the role on the Netflix series from 2015 to 2018, for three seasons. Fans of the latter were excited that Charlie Cox would be coming back for Daredevil: Born Again. It was announced by Kevin Feige at the San Diego Comic-Con last July. Vincent D’Onofrio is reprising his role as Kingpin in the Disney+ superhero series too. Kingpin made an appearance in the Hawkeye series as well. The 18-episode series will have an 11-month shoot. Despite Cox saying that the series won’t be as gory as the Netflix series, he still thinks it’s dark. It may not look like that from Daredevil’s appearance in She-Hulk, but fans can take his word for it.
Charlie Cox Continues in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
One of the many delightfully surprising cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home was Charlie Cox as Matthew Murdock. This was just foreshadowing that he would continue his role as Matthew Murdock/Daredevil. Daredevil: Born Again is getting closer and closer, and Cox continues to promote it. There haven’t been any teaser trailers or much said about the specific details of the Disney+ superhero series. Jessica Jones, The Defenders, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, unfortunately, did not manage to get picked up for Disney+. Charlie Cox has done a great job with his portrayal of Daredevil, so at least fans still have him. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is all over the place, and it’s unknown how Daredevil will play into the coming phases. Cox is ready for his work for Daredevil: Born Again, and the fans have never stopped being ready.
The superhero series starring Charlie Cox will premiere in 2024 on Disney+.
