Dungeons and Dragons fans will celebrate Gary Gygax, the creator of the roleplaying game, Saturday, July 27th on what has come to be known as Gary Gygax Day. To honor the game master and designer, Wizards of the Coast and his son, Luke Gygax, will be playing D&D all day long with some big-name celebrity players and dungeon masters.
For the second year in a row, the Founders and Legends Stream, hosted by Gygax, will be streamed live on Twitch and feature three games. The dice will start rolling at noon Saturday and during which the group will be raising money for Extra Life in support of children’s hospitals.

The stream will feature the head DM for the D&D Adventurers League Chris Lindsay, the founder of Dwarven Forge Stefan Pokorny, and Luke Gygax. While the players will consist of several members of the Dungeons and Dragons and tabletop gaming community: Kate Welch, Satine Phoenix, TJ Storm, Matt Mercer, Deborah Ann Woll, Elisa Teague, Matt Colville, and Jason Charles Miller. Plus, more are expected to be announced before the stream this weekend.
Founders and Legends formed in 2018 and developed as a way to celebrate the worldbuilders who create and continue to design roleplaying games. The stream is their way to honor the tradition of storytelling and playing around a table with friends and family.
