CD Projekt Red has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While this may come as no surprise to those following along closely, the announcement of the RPG confirms that the third installment in The Witcher franchise will be a “Next Generation RPG” that will be made for PC and “High-End Platforms”.
Details coming from Game Informer Magazine explain that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will once again star Geralt, in a world that is said to be forty percent larger than The Witcher 2. Each land in The Witcher 3 is said to have its own storyline, with major events in these plot lines to have effect on the overall story depending on player choice.
The lengthy preview can be found in the latest issue, and CD Projekt Red reveals that “Wild Hunt” will be “the conclusion of the trilogy” for Witcher fans.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out in 2014 and will utilize CD Projekt RED’s new REDengine 3 technology, and likely to arrive on next-generation consoles as well as PC.
