Catalyst Black is a new cross-platform ready battleground shooter from the creators of Vain Glory. This new mobile game from Super Evil Megacorp is boasting its Drop-In, Drop-Out design that lets players get into the action instantly without the wait. Each player can get into their friend’s game without wasting any time to join the party or the usual matchmaking.
The is playable on a standard smartphone touch screen, console controller, and even on keyboard and mouse. The world it is set in is full of mystery and magic. Players have access to various weapons, abilities, and ancient masks that can turn them into Gods.
There is an ongoing “Secret Service” recruitment according to the game’s official Twitter account. In addition to the active enlistment, it revealed a sneak peek to the Catalyst Black gameplay. Interested applicants need to join the Catalyst Black Discord at discord.gg/catalystblack and the service will start on August 12.
Upon joining the official Discord, players need to direct message the Catalyst Black bot, Catalyst Black#1323, and tell him the code “!secretservice”. All the candidates need to answer basic questions such as e-mail and location. It is important to take note that this early access is only available to iOS users as the devs will use TestFlight, an Apple-owned application. The recruitment is completely random and will choose 50 testers a day that will run every 12 hours.
How to you know if you’re in? The same bot will DM you on Discord so you can start your journey in the unexpected and unfiltered world of Catalyst Black. Any advancements or progress during the early access are carried over to the live service upon release. As of this writing, there is no information on the Catalyst Black release date. Players who join the Secret Service grants them early access and a head start.
