The review embargo for Captain America: Civil War has been lifted and the first reviews for the movie have been overwhelmingly positive. Every review on Rotten Tomatoes so far has been positive.
If you visit Rotten Tomatoes right now, you will see that the rating for Captain America: Civil War is an astounding 100 percent. 15/15 reviews have been collected and none of them are negative.
Over time, more reviews will be collected and there are sure to be a couple of negative ones out there. Still, this is a good sign that the movie is going well with critics and it should get a positive rating overall.
This should be good news for Disney since some people were disappointed with Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Avengers sequel was not bad, but it didn’t receive the universal praise that the first movie got. Civil War sounds like the Avengers sequel that we should have got last year.
The reviews for Captain America: Civil War came out super early for some reason as it does not come out in North America until May 6th. The first few countries receive it a bit earlier on April 27th. It’s likely the movie could be the biggest blockbuster of 2016, unless Star Wars: Rogue One could overthrow it.
