E3, one of the biggest events in the gaming world, was not held this year, and companies started to organize their own events. Summer Game Fest and Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase are scheduled recently. And now, with the latest announcement from Capcom games, we know the date of Capcom Showcase 2022.
According to a statement by Capcom, the new Showcase will take place on June 13 at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET and will take longer than 35 minutes. The emphasis on ’35 minutes’ is surprising, as we know that the company has two really big launches (State of Play and its new event) in June. So our expectations go through the roof.
Introducing the #CapcomShowcase, a new livestreamed digital event bringing you the latest #Capcom game information. Tune in on June 13, 3pm PT for around 35 minutes of news and in-depth updates on previously announced Capcom titles.https://t.co/fcLu2YjbYs pic.twitter.com/XHZu7iKJzz

Capcom Showcase 2022 on June 13
In the case of Capcom, we already know that its digital showcase will run no less than 35 minutes, and new and previously announced games will be discussed.
Capcom has made quite a few announcements as part of Sony’s State of Play event, so we expect to see more detailed announcements. It wouldn’t be surprising if we got another gameplay for Street Fighter 6 at the new showcase.
We also hope to see more information regarding the Resident Evil 4 remake that was announced at the State of Play. There may also be more news about Pragmata, which appeared before the PS5 was announced in 2020.
The list of games we are waiting for new information on is as follows:
- Street Fighter VI
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Resident Evil Village VR or DLC
- Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
- Pragmata
The only title with a date yet to be announced is the Resident Evil Netflix series, so we expect some mention at the event. Netflix previously released a trailer and gave little information. It’s possible that Capcom will describe the new series at the showcase. However, our expectations for the Netflix project are not too high.
To summarize, it’s worth remembering that Capcom said the update would focus on previously announced games, so you may want to lower your expectations for new titles.
