Capcom has surprisingly started to send emails to Resident Evil Ambassadors to let them know it is recruiting testers for a new title in the franchise. Emails claim that the testers will get to provide feedback on “a game that’s in development.”

This is a translation of the email as provided by Biohaze:

Sure enough, after the release of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 2, the future of the series looks more brilliant than ever and it’s not a surprise that the Japanese studio is already working on something new in the mainline saga.

To all Resident Evil Ambassadors,

Thank you for your patronage regarding the Resident Evil series.

Today, we are letting you know that we are recruiting testers for a game that’s in development!!

We are interested in incorporating the feedback of all Ambassadors into our development, so please read the details below and, if you are interested in participating, click the Entry button.

However, considering that the team is already seeking feedback, it looks like the work on this future game might be well more advanced than you could anticipate, and this could be a hint itself.

Considering only less than seven months have passed since the release of RE2, is there a chance that Capcom could be working on a Resident Evil 3 remake, which we think will be much faster to work on in comparison with a brand new Resident Evil title? Also, looking at the fact that tests are already required for feedback, we wouldn’t rule out a multiplayer spin-off of sorts.

Some time ago we reported about rumors of an RE3 remake in the making, indeed, so this could be it. By the way, it’s good to wait and see what happens before we take anything for granted.
