The official Capcom Integrated Report 2021 reveals that free DLC will be released for Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise. The annual report mentions that both the games have turned out to be a huge success for the company. As of October 2021, Capcom has sold over five million copies of Resident Evil Village. Meanwhile, the latest entry in the Monster Hunter series has already crossed a sales figure of 4.8 million units in March. However, the contents of the announced free DLC have not been disclosed but players have already started to make wild guesses.
The statement from the Capcom report that confirms the arrival of new free downloadable content for Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise goes like this:
Apart from the DLC release, seems like Capcom has some really big plans because the report also throws light on the company’s decision to spend 80% of its total development budget alone on the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter series. Until now, there has not been any official announcement about the upcoming games from the same franchises, but after reading the integrated report and sales figures, many fans are sure that sooner or later, Capcom will release the next batch of installments following Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise.
Capcom also gave an update on PRAGMATA, which is set to release in 2022. The report mentions that PRAGMATA is under development and the company has also hired new developers who are likely to make the game more appealing and youth-sensitive.
Whereas Resident Evil Village is already available on PC, Playstation, and Xbox, Monster Hunter Rise can only be played on Switch for now, but next year on January 12, it’s also coming to PC. Players are expecting that the new DLC could introduce some exciting weapons and take the games to whole new levels.
