Want to know if you can pet cats in Fire Emblem Engage? The Fire Emblem series is one of Nintendo consoles’ most popular tactical RPGs. And their new title, Fire Emblem Engage, received positive feedback from players on the first day of release. The game combines both familiar and new features and characters from previous games in the series. But what about petting cute animals? Read on to find out if you can pet cats in Fire Emblem Engage.

Can You Pet the Cats in Fire Emblem Engage?

Playing Fire Emblem Engage, you will be pleasantly surprised by how many new features Intelligent Systems have been added to the game. New unique characters and the Engaging feature will give you a completely new Fire Emblem experience. However, some things have remained unchanged, such as the ability to pet cats and other animals.

Unfortunately, one of the shortcomings of the entire series is the lack of any interactions with animals such as cats. And Fire Emblem Engage is no exception. The game has a lot of cute dogs and cats. You can walk up to them, look at them, and that is all. Moreover, animals also show interest in the players, looking at them as if asking to pet them. But we can’t do that because Intelligent Systems don’t want that. And this is very frustrating, as interactions with such animals always make games more alive.

How to recruit Seadall in Fire Emblem Engage

However, the game has a feature of adopting different animals. To unlock it, you need to progress in the game long enough. And then, as you explore the area after the battle, you can find different animals like cats and dogs and adopt them in Fire Emblem Engage. You will also need to donate in the area to increase your chances of adopting certain animals. However, this feature does not work as you might expect. Adopted animals appear in Somniel and can give you various resources. And that’s all they will do. No,  you can’t pet them, talk to them or walk with them. You are simply making resource sources out of animals.

That’s all you need to know about petting cats in Fire Emblem Engage. We hope that the developers will someday pay attention to the players and add more interactions with animals in one of their next games.
