Gardening is a fun and important aspect of life in the valley, especially if you like to cook. But waiting an unknown amount of time for a crop to grow to harvest is an absolute drag. Below are the growth times for every crop you can grow in Dreamlight Valley and how you can make them grow faster to create the most harvestable (and profitable) garden plots.

Make crops grow faster in Dreamlight Valley

The fastest way to bring crops up to a harvestable state is to pay attention to watering needs and the plant’s home biome. Asparagus, for instance, will grow faster in the Frosted Heights biome than in the Sunlit Plateau because it’s better suited to a frigid climate. Carve out little farming plots in each biome to grow seeds specifically from that biome to grow them faster.

Also, keep in mind that some plants need additional waterings throughout the growth cycle. This is extra true if they take longer to grow. Wheat and corn typically don’t need additional waterings, but plants like cotton and pumpkin will require at least one additional hit with the watering can before they’re done growing.
