If you are wondering if you can do anything with Scrap Wood in Project Zomboid, the answer is yes. In short, Scrap Wood can be used to fuel campfires.

Using Scrap Wood as firewood is Scrap Wood’s only purpose in the game. Because of this, it may be a good idea to keep some of the Scrap Wood you are sure to build up as you play Project Zomboid.

That said, if you want to use Scrap Wood to fuel a campfire, start by building a Campfire using Campfire Materials. You can get Campfire Materials by crafting them using the following items.

  • 3 Planks2 Logs

You can get Planks by dismantling wooden furniture, and you can get Logs by chopping down trees. Once you get these materials, open up the Crafting Helper, find Campfire Materials, and craft it.

After crafting the campfire material, right it, and you will be able to place a campfire. Next, right-click the campfire, and you can use Scrap Wood to fuel it by clicking Add Fuel.

How to make Scrap Wood into Planks using Mods

If you want to give Scrap Wood another purpose in the game other than as a fuel source, you can do so with the Scraptoplank mod. This mod allows you to make Scrap Wood into Planks by right-clicking on Scrap Wood and clicking Saw into Planks.
