Pokémon Go is slowly adding shiny forms of the franchise’s most popular Pokémon. The mobile game is currently in the midst of the Season of Alola celebration, which focuses much of the game and its events on Pokémon that are native to the Alola Region. During this event, Sudowoodo received a Spotlight Hour, where the Pokémon’s shiny form was prominently featured. Many fans flocked to the game at a chance to catch this tree-like Pokémon’s color variant.

Both Sudowoodo and its pre-evolution, Bonsly, have shiny forms in the game. They can be obtained by encountering them in the wild or occasionally as Raid bosses. Bonsly has also been featured in seven KM Eggs before, being grouped with the other baby Pokémon like Igglybuff and Pichu.

How to evolve Bonsly into Sudowoodo in Pokémon Go?

Bonsly can be evolved once players have obtained the baby Pokémon, walked the 15 KM distance requirement with Bonsly as a buddy Pokémon, and gathered 50 Bonsly Candies. Once these three requirements are finished, Bonsly can evolve in Sudowoodo. To obtain a shiny Sudowoodo, players must obtain a shiny Bonsly, but since the Pokémon are equally as easy to come across in the wild, it is much easier to just hunt for the already-evolved shiny Sudowoodo.
