PowerWash Simulator becomes a truly massive game with gigantic levels in the later stages of Career Mode. As such, it’s always good to get a little help from friends. However, a bug has been present since at least December 2021 that prevents those joining from changing their Power Washer and accessories. Here’s how to work around it until FuturLab implements a permanent fix.
PowerWash Simulator Bug: Unable to change Power Washer in Co-op
Per the developer, the following steps should resolve the problem:
“To fix it the host player needs to resume a single-player career job while the joining player equips the soap nozzle, and then unequips the cleaner (equipping the no cleaner option). Then they join the host’s game again. This needs to be repeated for each power washer owned.”
It’s a bit clunky. Otherwise, we’ve had luck with the host choosing another Career job, launching that, and then returning to the problematic job. However, depending on where the host is in Career Mode, this may not be an option.
The issue is triggered when the host has a cleaner equipped. Since many of the larger jobs favor using a cleaner, it’s more common that people will run into this when trying to join larger levels. It’s a nasty bug that many are hoping gets resolved sooner rather than later.
