Activision has released details about Season 1 for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty Warzone 2.0. Both of these games will be adding many features for both games and will launch on November 16 at 10am PT. You can find the full details of the additions here.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
For Season 1, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is promising to see the return of the Shoot House and Shipment Set maps. There will also be four new weapons and six total Operators. You can use these in the new Special Ops Mission, Raid Episode 1, which sees a continuation of the Modern Warfare II story.
There will also be a seasonal Prestige system and a new Battle Pass added. Finally, a CDL Moshpit is beginning this season, which will allow players to practice for Ranked matches when they unlock in a future season.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0
One of the biggest additions to Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 season 1 is DMZ mode. This is a narrative-focused extraction mode where Operators will have free rein. Things you can do in this mode include completing faction-based missions, taking on additional side objectives, engaging with enemy Operators or AI combatants, and searching for valuable items. There will also be a new Backpack system that will be full integrated into both DMZ and Battle Royale modes.
Al Mazrah will be a new map that features 18 points of interest. Warzone 2.0 will also add a new Gulag, which is a 2v2 environment where duos will have to coordinate to take down their opponents. In addition to the new maps, custom loadouts are making a return this season, allowing players to choose their own Primary Weapon. Finally, this season will bring support for Third-Party Playlists for the first time in Warzone’s history.
