Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 Gunfight alpha test will be playable this weekend. At Gamescom, Activision announced that players can play starting Friday, August 23, at 10 PDT until Sunday, August 25.

The alpha will allow playing exclusively on the 2v2 Gunfight mode. The Modern Warfare alpha will include five maps. King, Pine, and Stack were already a part of previous presentations while players will see for the first time Speedball and Docks.

However, only the PlayStation 4 owners will have the chance to play it. Though, without the need of PlayStation Plus.

The 2v2 Gunfight is a new mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Gunfight consists of putting four players into a small map, and divide them into two teams of two players each. The goal is to eliminate the opposite side. Every round, all the players receive the same class that will change randomly every few rounds. Players have only one life, and there isn’t regenerative health. The victory goes to the first team that wins ten rounds.

However, Modern Warfare has to offer many other modes. The 2v2 mode will stand alongside the standard 6v6, and 10v10, 20v20, with also a potential feature of a battle royale mode, on the same vein as Black Ops 4‘s Blackout.
